Mildred C. Prideaux, age 87, of Lake Geneva, formerly of Weyauwega passed away Wednesday February 18, 2009 at the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. She was born September 7, 1921 in Wessington Springs, SD, daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Knapheide) Christian. She graduated from Quincy High School and attended Cottey College in Nevada, MO and also attended Western Illinois University in McComb, IL. On April 18, 1953 she married Richard P. Prideaux in Elgin IL. He preceded her in death July 29, 2005. They lived in Elgin, IL until moving to Weyauwega in 1956. "Millie" was a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid "P.C". enthusiast and was very creative, pursuing her crafts with precision. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She is survived by her children: Sheryn Brook (Thomas Beane), Hudson, WI; Barbara (Roy) Swartz, Twin Lakes, WI; James (Sally) Prideaux, Amherst, WI; grandchildren: Jim Brook, Teri (Greg) Schopp, Scott (Maria) Nolan, Melissa (Don) Prideaux-Hulke, Jennifer (Tim) Shoepke, and Kristian (Jenny) Prideaux; eight great grandchildren; a sister: Marilyn Condrad, Lawrence, KS; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son John Prideaux and granddaughter Michelle Brook. The funeral service for Mildred will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday February 23, 2009 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home, 200 S. Mill Street, Weyauwega, WI 54983, with Rev. Joe Ripley officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega in the spring. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
