Orville L. Joch

Age 79, of Manawa passed away Friday October 17, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 18, 1928 in the Town of Royalton, Waupaca County son of the late Christa and Gertrude (Stiebs) Joch. He attended Grade School at Baldwins Mill and St. Paul Lutheran School in Manawa. He graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa with the class of 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany 1950-1952. Orville worked for Wolf River Sausage in Weyauwega, farmed and retired in 1991 from his job at the Waupaca Foundry. He was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa where he had served as an elder. Orville enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his wife: Patricia; two sons: Ron Joch, Weyauwega; Corey (Kelly) Joch, Waupaca; two grandsons: Matthew and Dominic; a granddaughter: Katie; two brothers: Marvin (Mary Lou) Joch and Verlyn (Sandy) Joch, both of Neenah; two sisters: Ardell Steffes, Chilton, Darlene (Frank) Bork, Winchester; a sister-in-law: Marliss Joch, Oshkosh; further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Gregory; two infant sons: Kevin and Mitchell and a brother, Arlyn. The funeral service for Orville will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 22, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be Baldwins Mill Cemetery with graveside Military Honors. Relatives and friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and at the church on Wednesday, from noon until the time of the service.
