Robert A. White

Age 86, of Waupaca, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Waupaca on November 12, 1924 son of the late Arthur and Mary (Rasmussen) White. He married Jeanette Johnson on May 17, 1952. Robert proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for the U.S. Postal service for many years retiring in 1976. He loved to play the trumpet, playing big band music for over 35 years. He is survived by his wife Jeanette, Waupaca; son: Brad White, Madison; 2 daughters: Roberta Cote, Weyauwega; Dana White, Waupaca, a grandson Robert Cote. He is further survived by nieces: Mary and Katherine, nephew: Ted McCartney, other relatives and friends. His parents, a daughter Sherrie White, sister Jean, and a brother Howard preceded him in death. A memorial service for Robert will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
