Russell Lee Arndt, age 71, of Ogdensburg, died July 12, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, Wisconsin courageously battling cancer. He was born August 11, 1943, in Ogdensburg, the son of late Irving and Gladys (Hansen) Arndt. He married Carla Gagnow in 1969. He was a farmer and milk hauler. He played pool, bowled, hunted, and loved cutting firewood. He loved sports and enjoyed watching the Packers, the Brewers, and the Badgers. He is survived by his wife, Carla and his four sons, Scott (Tammy) of Manawa, Jeff (Carrie) of Clintonville, Chris of Little Chute, and Robin (Moreland Nagal) of Hawaii; his four grandchildren, Taylor, Elly, Owen, and Cassie; and his three brothers Roger (Darlene), Irving, and Dave (Joan). He is also survived by scores of other family members; uncles, aunts, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family on both sides, Arndt and Gagnow. His father, mother, and three grandchildren preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed and remembered by family and friends. The funeral service for Russell will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Rev. Walter Steinbach officiating. Burial will be in Ogdensburg Park Cemetery, Town of St. Lawrence. A visitation for Russell will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the funeral home and also on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Gunther and his staff as well as the ICU team at Appleton Medical Center for their care and concern in the family's time of need.
