Age 72, of Manawa, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She was born on January 22, 1946 in New London, daughter of the late Karl and Hattie (Lightfuss) Ebert. She was a graduate of Little Wolf High School and received a degree from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee. On August 2, 1969, she married Ronald Miller at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco. Sara worked at Patterson’s Heating and Plumbing in Appleton and as a receptionist at Kolbe and Kolbe in Manawa. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling, volunteering at Manawa Elementary School, and she was involved in many activities at St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed stamping greeting cards, shopping, and socializing with her many friends.
She is survived by her sisters: Charlotte Wildermuth of Bay Village, Ohio; Sandra Heikkila, Woodbury, Minnesota; brother-in-law David Wildermuth; a niece and five nephews; several beloved grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins, as well as numerous loving and caring friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ron; brother-in-law Jerry Heikkila, and nephew Andy Wildermuth.
The Life Celebration Service for Sara will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Symco. A visitation for Sara will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Thresherman’s Club of Symco.
Sara’s family and friends express sincere gratitude to Southern Care Hospice Center and caregivers for the loving care provided for her.
