Susan Ann Brigham, age 61 of New London, WI, left this earthly life and entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Sue was born on July 6, 1963, daughter of William Heineman and Delores (Knapp) Heineman. Sue graduated from New London High School in 1981, where she lettered 3 years on the varsity basketball team and played the flute in the high school band. On June 11, 1983, Sue married her one and only love, Andrew Brigham at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, where she was a long-time member.
Sue worked in customer service for most of her life. She loved her adventurous motorcycle rides with Andy, going nowhere specific, but choosing spontaneous destinations together as they rode. She was a threat to everyone who met her in competitive archery, winning numerous trophies. From there she thought she might give hunting a try. She was a natural and a fantastic shot - getting a deer on her first trip out. She was the one making sure everyone was up extra early and ready to go. Sue also loved fishing - especially pan fishing. She loved the thrill of the catch and many times Andy couldn't keep up with how many she would bring in. Sue dedicated much of her time to volunteering, and several organizations were dear to her heart. She loved going on the flights and helping veterans through Old Glory Honor Flight, was a rider with Patriot Guard Riders of Wisconsin and through that group served with Operation Christmas Angel and was also honored to serve the Gold Star families at Camp Serenity on Lake Tomahawk. Sue helped wherever she was needed, never wanting the accolades or recognition, she served with a loving and compassionate heart. She loved the beauty and wonder of birds, especially cardinals, hummingbirds and orioles, and kept an eye out for all the beauties of God's creation as she and Andy traveled together often with friends, especially to Mexico and numerous motorcycle trips during the summers.
Sue is survived by her loving husband Andy; mother, Delores; sister, Jody Anderson; brother, Tom Heineman; nieces, Mandy Haider and Nikki Christopherson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stan and Fran Brigham; brother-in-law, Matt Brigham; sister-in-law, Ann Brigham Chrudinsky; very special friends, Lorraine Van Kampen, Adrianne Runge, Laurie Berg, her HBFF girlfriends, and other close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joanne and Robert Finger, nephew, Ben Brieting, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A special thank you to ThedaCare Cancer Center and Hospice, and everyone who helped support Sue through her journey.
