Taylor C. Gettendorf

Taylor Christian Gettendorf, age 34, of Weyauwega, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, July 28, 2023. He was born on February 27, 1989, to Thomas and Sandra (Knaack) Gettendorf.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran of Weyauwega, where he also attended grade school. After graduating from Fox Valley Lutheran High School, he attended college at UW-Oshkosh before deciding to return to the family farm. Outside of his current work at Agropur of Weyauwega, he had a passion for farming and a love of the land. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing with family and friends. The spring walleye run and fall duck and deer hunting were among his favorite times of the year. He was a lover of Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He took great pride in working for the Packer organization during his college years in which he had the opportunity to attend Superbowl XLV in 2011.

He is survived by his parents: Tom and Sandy Gettendorf of Weyauwega; siblings: Jordan (Judy) Gettendorf of Marion, Kirsten (Matt) Donner of Greenville, Cami Gettendorf of Weyauwega; grandmother, Joanne Gettendorf; loving, extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins and niece, as well as many dear friends.

Taylor was preceded in death by his grandparents: Forrest Gettendorf, Victor and Arlene Knaack; aunt, Judy Genskow.

A Christian Memorial Service for Taylor will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Aaron Kristopeit officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 4:00-7:00PM at the church, and also on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 9:30-10:45AM prior to the service.

Taylor will be missed by many. Psalm 50:15 "Call upon me in the day of trouble! I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
