Trevor Thomas Hanson, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the young age of 27. He lost his battle with addiction, leaving behind a community of family and friends who loved him deeply.
Born on July 10, 1995, in Appleton, Wisconsin, Trevor was raised in Manawa, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Little Wolf High School and went on to attend the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, where he honed his love for cooking and culinary arts.
Trevor was a vibrant young man, and a true adventurer at heart who had a passion for exploring the outdoors. He was an avid hiker, camper, and explorer who enjoyed nothing more than being in nature. He often traveled across the country with his beloved dog, Buddha, in search of new and exciting experiences.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Trevor had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He was known for his friendly and outgoing nature, always eager to make new friends and share his zest for life with others. Despite his struggles, he will be remembered as a kind and loving person who touched the lives of all who knew him.
Although Trevor's life was cut short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His passing serves as a reminder of the dangers of addiction, and his family and friends hope that his story will inspire others to seek help and support when struggling with similar challenges.
Trevor leaves behind his Mother: Alicia (Chad) Van Groll of Appleton, Father: Robert Hanson of Manawa, and Sister: Brianna Hanson. Trevor is also survived by his half-siblings: Rachel Ketchum and Ashlee Crosno, step-siblings: Jackee Swenson, Lyndy Gavin, Nick Swenson, Brandon Van Groll, and Jacob Van Groll. He is preceded in death by his lifelong friend Edgar Soriano, grandparents Marilyn and LeRoy Hanson, and childhood dog Murdy.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at The Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Life Celebration Center in Manawa on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM and is open to all who wish to respectfully celebrate his life. Trevor will be buried in Riverside Cemetery in Appleton.
