Viola Grace Yohr

Age 94, of Manawa, died on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Kindred Hearts Assisted Living in New London. She was born on August 27, 1917, in the Town of Little Wolf, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Handrich) Suehs. On April 8, 1942, she was united in marriage to Leo Edward Yohr. They farmed in the Town of Little Wolf until 1977 when they moved to Manawa. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. Viola is survived by her children: Ray (Dawn) Yohr, Appleton; Ginny (Dennis) Buschke, Appleton; six grandchildren: Bruce (Dionna) Yohr, Peachtree City, GA; Amy (John) LaFond, Appleton; Randy (Cathy) Yohr, Manawa; Greg Yohr, Appleton; Michelle (Brian) Wautlet, Appleton; Brian Buschke (fiancé Jodi and son, Dillion), Appleton; ten great-grandchildren: Jordan and Cameron Yohr, Brittney and Ryan LaFond, Tyler Yohr (fiancé Arielle and daughter Aeva), Samantha and Garrett Yohr, Cole and Logan Wautlet, and Makenzie Buschke; sisters-in-law: Bea Suehs and Lillian McEwen; brother-in-law, Robert (Connie) Yohr. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Erna and Hazel Suehs; brother, Leonard Suehs, brothers-in-law, Rev. Elmer Yohr and his wife Jean; Dr. Loren McEwen and sister-in-law, Clara Reick and husband Bob, also nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Viola will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. A visitation for Viola will be held directly at the church on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service.
