Viola M. Miller

Age 91, of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. She was born on October 12, 1920, in Weyauwega, daughter of the late Floyd and Clara (Mittlestaedt) Haire. On September 27, 1941, she married Otis E. Miller in Ortonville, MN. He preceded her in death in 1974. Viola was an R.N. and worked for a doctor in Jackson, Wisconsin for 27 years. She then returned to her home area and worked at Riverside Hospital in Waupaca for 11 years before retiring. Viola was a member of First Baptist Church in Waupaca. She is survived by her children: James Otis Miller, Waupaca; Sonja A. Grawvunder, Weyauwega; David J. Miller, Weyauwega; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Kenneth (Betty) Haire, Weyauwega; Dorothy (Gib) Gilbertson, Weyauwega. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Viola will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Waupaca with Rev. Larry G. Gross officiating. Burial will be in Baldwins Mill Cemetery in the Town of Royalton. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church until the time of the service.
