Wilma C. Lind of Manawa, age 76, died Friday, September 29, 2006 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born November 19, 1929 in Oklahoma, daughter of the late Luther and Lena (Branum) Hayes. On December 15, 1951 she married Robert "Bob" Lind in Carlsbad, NM. They moved to the Amherst, WI area in 1952. In 1964 they moved to the Manawa area and she farmed with her husband in the Town of Little Wolf. She was employed as a cook at the Manawa Community Nursing Center several years. Wilma enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, Bible studies and shopping with the girls. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her children: Larry (Sherri) Lind, Weyauwega; Robin (Jim) Malone, Waupaca; Roger Lind, Manawa; Terry (Julie) Lind, Manawa; Linda Lind and Rob, Manawa; Katherine "Kitty" Lind, Appleton; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; her special pets "Oscar" and "Sadie"; a brother: Donald (Joyce) Hayes, Billings, MT; a sister: Annette Stoddard, Lake Charles, Louisiana; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents, husband, a brother, a sister and nephew preceded her in death. The funeral service for Wilma will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 5, 2006 at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa with Witt Sasser officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Manawa. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from noon Thursday until the time of the service
