Yvonne Marie Levezow

Age 81, of Manawa, passed away Monday August 20, 2007 at New London Family Medical Center. She was born on August 12, 1926 in Stephensville, Outagamie County, daughter of the late Lloyd & Lillian (Ely) Levezow. Yvonne graduated from Little Wolf High School in Manawa. She graduated from Nursing School in Springfield, IL in 1948. She then worked for Dr. Haman in Manawa. She joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served her country from 1952-1956, serving in England for a year and receiving the rank of Lt. Colonel. Yvonne was also active in the reserves for many years. She had lived in California until returning to Manawa in the spring of 2005. She enjoyed playing bingo. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa. She is survived by her brothers: Lloyd (Meredith) Levezow, North Bend, OR; Ralph Levezow and William (Jean) Levezow, both of Manawa. She is further survived by nieces and nephews: Jim Levezow, Barbara (Tom) Dalton, Mary Levezow, all of Oregon; Catherine (Walter) Surma, Manawa; Mark (Cynthia) Levezow, Manawa; Susan (Ed) Murrow, Manawa; Michael (Sandra) Levezow, Manawa; Paul Levezow, New London; Brian (June) Levezow, Manawa; Kevin Levezow, Manawa; John Levezow, St. Paul, MN; also many great, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Karen. The Funeral Mass for Yvonne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manawa with Rev. Bertin Samsa OFM Cap officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
